Eating Recovery Center

The Eating Recovery Center at the Overlake Medical Pavilion is an 18,000-square-foot build-out that establishes a dedicated and therapeutic environment for adolescent care on the facility's third floor. This thoughtfully designed space is meticulously planned to support the complex journey of recovery, creating a self-contained unit that balances clinical necessity with a nurturing, residential feel. The layout intentionally integrates spaces for treatment, community, and daily living, forming a comprehensive ecosystem where patients can focus entirely on their healing process away from the triggers of a hospital setting.

The project encompasses a full spectrum of functional areas, beginning with a secure entry that leads into a central hub featuring a serving kitchen and dining hall, which are critical for supervised meals and nutritional rehabilitation. The floor plan further includes private therapy offices and team offices for multidisciplinary care coordination, community lounges for social interaction and group activities, and dedicated classrooms to ensure educational continuity. To support extended care, the center is equipped with overnight patient rooms, large restrooms designed for safety and accessibility, and on-site laundry rooms, ensuring a comfortable, dignified, and supportive homelike atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
